Living Wage Funders

Living Wage Funders support grant recipients to pay the Living Wage through their grant-making.

Ranging from local authorities to charitable trusts and foundations, corporate, science and capital funders, Living Wage funders are committing to tackle low pay by encouraging the organisations they support to pay staff the real Living Wage.

Funders in Wales

In Wales, voluntary sector organisations currently account for around 30% of the total living wage accredited employers.

“At WCVA we’re doing our best to support positive growth in accreditation by being a Living Wage Funder, committed to encouraging the organisations we support through funding to pay the real Living Wage, for example, through our European Funds schemes: the Active Inclusion Fund and Social Business Growth Fund.”

Tessa White, Head of Grants and Verification, WCVA

In Wales, there are currently two funders – WCVA, and Building Communities Trust.
