In 2015, Cardiff Council became a Living Wage accredited employer, and Cardiff itself was recognised as a Living Wage City in 2019 as part of the ‘Making Living Wage Places’ scheme. To achieve this accreditation, a group of prominent Cardiff employers joined forces to form the Cardiff Living Wage Action Group and launched a three year action plan to make Cardiff a Living Wage City.
To celebrate this journey, on the 16th of November we will be taking over the Living Wage Wales social media, where we will be sharing stories from Cardiff employers as well as the latest progress towards our 2022 goals.
Cllr Chris Weaver from Cardiff Council will be opening the day with a video message, and it would be great if you could share content and get involved too!
If you would like to take part, please send us a video or quote you would be happy for us to use before the 12th of November.
If you have already submitted any content for our 20th anniversary case studies, we will be re-sharing this too.
Don’t forget to share/ react to our posts and if you create your own, use the hashtags #LivingWageCardiff and #LivingWageWeek and tag in @LivingWageWales so we can see them!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and make sure to send any videos or quotes over before the 12th of November.
